How long will it take?

Several factors influence your outcome:

1-How long the condition has existed. For example, in the case of sciatic pain, **clinical studies have shown that for each year the condition existed, it took an average of 11.7 days of chiropractic care for desired results. Similiar results have been shown for other conditions. Therefore, the sooner you seek care, the better results you will have!

2-Your cooperation with your chiropractor. Again, in the case of sciatic pain, **clinical studies have shown that 94.4% of the patients responded well if the care plan of their chiropractor was followed. Your individual care plan may include: chiropractic adjustments, home exercise, therapy, application of ice or heat, dietary adjustments, etc.

3-Other types of care you may be receiving.

4-A regular chiropractic check-up after your health has returned should be expected. Your chiropractic care is just as important to your health and well being as a mammogram, 6 month dental check-up, cholesterol screening, blood pressure check, and other recommended screenings and diagnostic procedures. After all the nervous system, either directly or indirectly, controls ALL body function and must operate at its fullest potential for you to have the best possible health. So as you can see, chiropractic and its profound effect on the nervous system, can help with many health conditions. Chiropractic isn't just about back pain (although very  effective for) and never has been.

FACTS: There are an estimated 4 trillion functions happening in your body every second and all are controlled by the nervous system! In 24 hours your blood travels 168,000,000 miles, your heart beats 103,689 times, you breath 23,040 times, your hair grows 01717 inch, billions of brain cells are fired, etc, etc, etc.

Does chiropractic care hurt? Is it safe?

There are numerous methods of delivering Chiropractic care. In this office we use adjusting instruments for sensitive individuals, messaging units, and intersegmental traction tables for safe and effective adjusting. We also use manual (by hand) adjusting methods that chiropractors have been using safely and effectively for 100+ years.

Chiropractic by ALL studies to date, is extremely safe. The miracle of chiropractic care is that sick people get well, have short recovery times, and very, very, seldom have any side effects. Compare that to other forms of care!

What does it take to be a chiropractor?

Other than the future chiropractor's desire to help get sick people get well, it takes a lot of study, sacrifice, and is a long educational process. Before entering chiropractic college, most students have already earned at least a 4 year college degree in the sciences. The Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program is an additional 5 years which also includes a 2 year internship. After graduating, most chiropractors either complete a 1-2 years associateship program with an experienced chiropractor or do a 1-6 year residency in family practice, orthopedics, or specialties in sports, children's health, aging, etc. There are also National Boards, Parts I, II, III, and IV, state licencing exams, continuing education, etc. So as you can see, your chiropractor is well trained to take care of your chiropractic health needs.

** The clinical studies sited above are not absolute, each case is unique.

How Can Chiropractic help me?

Chiropractic has been helping get sick people well for 100+ years. There have been millions just like you that have returned to good health through chiropractic care. Chiropractic has been shown by many university and professional studies to be effective in treating asthma, headache, carpal tunnel, spinal pain and dysfunction, digestive disorders, sinus troubles, sciatica, and many other health conditions!

Chiropractic does this by removing nerve interference to the effected area. This nerve interference has a name, it is called a
S-U-B-L-U-X-A-T-I-O-N. Removing the subluxation allows the body to function as close to 100% as possible. No other health provider has the training and expertise to do this correctly.
